@seven-hills-records is pleased to announce the next outing from Rob James & @burnskipower's new project, North Phase.

Comprising four brilliant, groove-laden tracks, the 'Cyclone' EP is one of their favourites so far. The title-track, 'Cyclone', bumps and rolls atop a sneaky bassline, and keeps you locked in with a unique, shifted synth hook. The similarly pumping 'Time Zone Unknown' keeps the groove straighter, with added gnarliness from a crisp synth line designed to cut its way to the centre of the dancefloor.

On the flip, the dark and super-heavy 'Room 1' spirals and builds before hitting hard with a chestplate bassline. The more lilting 'Groove Merchant' sits on the B2, slightly sci-fi and rounding things off in style.

The alarm clock buzzed loudly for the fifth time, as usual the snooze button had been exhausted for as long as she could get away with it. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, squinting in the morning light that bathed her room. A familiar feeling of dread washed over her; one that didn’t seem to hit her on any other day of the week. The start of the week was always like this - uneventful and unproductive, a time for wallowing and indulging… all in all, just another average Monday.

Helsinki imprint Echocentric and Leipzig’s R.A.N.D. are joining forces for their next release, a dose of rhythmic proggy goodness from Lithuania-based producer Pletnev. Both labels know their onions - between them they’ve put out plenty of dance floor gems over the last few years from the likes of Abdul Raeva, DJ Life, Reflex Blue and Gnork. With And You Never Come Back, it’s more of the same: over four tracks Pletnev serves up squelchy, hypnotic breaks and trance-inspired rhythms, all primed and ready to bless club sound systems the world over.

Through this 2-piece release, Cywil provides a soft and perfect vocal house. He takes his inspiration from the 80's with Chicago drums on Rhodes notes and acid basslines that give an old-fashioned house groove.

Also the vocal samples reinforce the 80's groove that Cywil is looking for...

In "Even When U Sleep", the idea of this woman saying she'll always be there for you, even when you sleep in a lively house, makes the whole thing dreamy and takes you to a peaceful place. In the same way with "If U Love Me", The looped voice makes the song more smooth and catchy.
