Champagne 


I grew up on the gospel   I was raised in the church 
But when the choir started singing
 I heard ever word

I got story to tell you 
I’ve got places I’ve been 
You’re going to have to get in line if you want in

I grew up listening to the radio 
Loretta Lynn was my teacher 
  Music was my language (sermon)
Johnny cash was my preacher 

If there’s a God above 
  If there’s a kingdom come
One day, I’ll be standing at those pearly gates  
  Singing my redemption song…

Now I can take you to church
