Brent Gibson (born September 26th, 1992) is a producer from Trinidad and Tobago. 
His production is best known under the pseudonym " BG Beatz."  
He started his career in music at the young age of 16.  
He would write songs, but in the area he was in, had no access to production. 
This caused for him to create it from start to finish, and his love for production began. 

At the age of 19, he discovered FL Studio and practiced his craft from there on it,
never completely loving music theory, but enjoying putting the music together in a practical way.  
Gibson's culture has been credited as a major influence in his sound. 
Being from the Caribbean, he was influenced by Soca, Calypso, Dancehall, and Reggae. 
The rhythm in his sound is what really sets him apart from the rest.  

Among many great American artists, he names Kanye West and Timbaland,
as two of his first inspirations since they worked with many different music genres as well.   
When asked about how he developed his sound, he often states,
"In the early years of my music production I always tried to understand music
and why it had the ability to change my mood in a matter of minutes.
I was so obsessed, I listened to a bunch of random artist from different genres of music
and I kept asking myself over and over why do I like this
and why do I feel connected to it no matter whether pop, hip hop, rap, soca, dancehall,
or whether happy, sad, bouncy etc, 
until I found the answer to it.
From that day I just keep being persistent and kept growing until I got better."
