Praised for the purity, strength and control of her voice, Black Heaven has established herself as one of Chicago’s most sought after vocalists. She has been consistently greeted with grand accolades for her sweet sound and smooth  delivery.

Black Heaven is best known for her rendition of “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. Which is befitting to the upcoming star, who was truly “born by a river” in Biloxi, Mississippi December 3, 1983. Born Truniekia Franklin, Black Heaven got her start singing in church. She discovered at an early age, her passion was song and performance when singing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance” and completely embodying the experience from dancing in the mirror to wearing head wraps and changing clothes like the late songstress did in the video.

Early 2015, Black Heaven graduated with honors and Phi Theta Kappa Membership with an AA in Liberal Arts from Malcolm X College. That same year, she became a powerful voice in one of Chicago’s most well-known and sought after coalition of entertainers, Solace Souls Entertainment.  A jack of all trades and master of many, Black Heaven can also be found pursuing other passions of hers, modeling in some of Chicago’s most prestigious fashion shows such as DCA (Dangerous Curves Ahead) and acting in Chicago based Independent Films.
Black Heaven has performed alongside some of Chicago’s best performers. Showcases, Events and Feature Performances include: The 2015 Festival of Life/ Caribbean Festival sharing the stage with Chante Moore, The Black Women's Expo opening for Kelly Price, The Intellectual Radio Show Mocha Chocolate TV and Radio, The Royce Glamour Television Show, At Ease Showcase in Atlanta, GA, Well Spoken LIVE!,  The Last Poets, and The Black Out Affair. Black Heaven has trail blazed performances around Chicago at several venues including Refuge Live!, The Quarry Event Center, Touch of the Past, and Subterranean.

Black Heaven’s sound is eclectic and speaks a striking love language. Her ultimate purpose is to share her adoration, through performance, for her love of the arts.
