I graduated to Ableton Live 10 and now have a Push, so definitely looking to grow more in beat making and arranging. If you are following me, I'm always open to feedback - just loving the process right now.

Continuing my my beat making journey, I dug through some samples on Tracklib (https://bit.ly/2lJ29Vx)and found this gem. 

Since I was working on this beat intermittently, it took me about 5 days to finish. I chopped up a few grooves on my push, threw together a mix and then finished the rest on my laptop at work. 

What are your thoughts on this track?

I made the drums for this first, on the Push 1 randomly one night. I then loaded timmy's sample and chopped it up in a few arrangements.

What you are hearing is a one take performance of all the chops and drums - triggered through my Push 1. I didn't arrange this officially at all, just some raw performance chops.

So I actually had an entirely different melody sitting over these drums - fully arranged and everything......but I hated the melody.

So I decided to start from scratch and toss the old sampled melody and build my own with some synths, and thus we have this slapper. 

I feel like this would work great as a performance track, or really commercial pop track. with the right artist. 

Let me know what you think about it.

I've been flipping the same sample for like 2 weeks. And only the first 10 seconds, it's such a dope sample. I made this bop a few days ago, this time with my MPK Mini. 

I finally figured out how to get SP404-ish effects going on my macro knobs so, needless to say, I had mad fun performing this one. 

Let me know if you think this is a knocker.

My processing of things, lately, has been more through creating something. I bought a gang of Simplified sample packs and found this really sweet Rhodes loop that I decided to flip.  

 I made this at the height of the Ahmaud Aubrey case. Unfortunately, I too could have easily been Ahmaud.
