It's Just A Dance

There are many themes and sources of inspiration for any given song. This one is no different.
But if I had to pick one of the most important ones, I would have to say it’s about FAMILY: our place and relationship in it and how often it reflects our relationship with the rest of the world, and how we face life.

Bringing it to life has been a process that has spanned across two insane years of my life with musicians and friends to whom I am IMMENSELY grateful:
I wrote it for my mother in a hotel room in Saudi Arabia and recorded vocals and guitar on an island in the Maldives; saxophone was performed by talented Sam Houghton in France, and bass, drums, and keyboards in Italy with the one and only Alberto Laurella 🖤
If you manage to catch the flamenco claps that’s maldito Juan Rey Toro from Spain, and sexy guitar solo was performed by the most baddass shredder I know: Richard Bastock.
Putting it all together, mixing & production is by the awesome @simonshorts who I met in the most unexpected way (and slightly shit-faced) after a gig in London - man I love happy accidents.
