this is life after bed's bedtime e.p. recorded on mother's day and the day after at the lodge in indianapolis. mr. tyler watkins was nice enough to record this for us without a budget. i wanted to jam as many styles of punk on one little e.p. as possible. that's why it goes from the hardcore sounds of billy bullshit right into the acoustic and painfully emo distract me. i wish i could go back and double track the guitars...or guitar because it sounds thin on the songs that we didn't have time to double track. we recorded this to DAT tapes and that was really hard. it wasted a lot of time. thanks watkins. anyway this is a moment in time for Life After Bed. i decided to put up this site for the 10th year anniversery of this e.p.

01 i kill my ex-girlfriends

this is Life After Bed Takes a Dirt Nap. these are the songs we worked on with matt hagan after we forced him to join the band in 2004. we recorded this at brand smith's studio...i can't remember what he calls it but it was a blast! recorded for basically nothing, as always in may of 2005 right before i moved to seattle. we were rockin real well at this point and i will always be proud of this recording...as crusty as it may be the songs come across and i always wanted to have a record with both hagan's on it. man they are so bad ass. the turtles song wasn't really ever finished but whatever. people will surely remember us closing almost every show with it so there you go.
