Testing out Firmware 13 real quick.  Used my BlacKat 7 with BKP Juggernauts for guitars and Nolly's Dingwall Combustion for bass.

So we have been working together the last few days to write our epic song for the new Periphery album.  Something that would be able to follow "Racecar".  We are so excited that we said screw it and we will share the instrumental version with you so you can hear it!  The song covers ground we have never touched before, and it is very thematic and goes through a lot of moods.  Hope you enjoy!

I recommend a set of headphones and drifting off, or just using it as background music, but im really happy with how it came out! Quick test of the rhythm patch I dialed in with Firmware 10.  I wanted something "ampy" and rich in the mids, but that still had plenty of attack.  It is surprisingly dynamic as well, so picking hard enables me to get the sound I am after.

So I got this Two Notes Torpedo Live which is a loadbox and very customizable cab sim/IR unit wrapped into one.  Plugged my Laney Ironheart into it and of course used my Protone Misha Mansoor Signature Overdrive pedal in front and the tone was most pleasing!

Whipped up a quick clip to demo the sounds, hope ya dig!

So this is the clip that I had been talking about revisiting with a new mix on fb the other day.

According to soundclick, I originally uploaded this in Nov of 2005.  Man, that feels like another lifetime, but I thought these riffs were actually pretty fun, so I figured it would be a good opportunity to test out Axefx II Firmware 10 in a mix context!

Maybe I'll post up the rhythm patch sometime soon.

Also a good excuse to use the Attack setting on my Protone Signature Overdrive Pedal in front of the Axefx II.
Guitar is my Daemoness 7, Bass is Trillian, Drums are Toontrack Metal Machine.

Work in progress, I am going to try to figure out that damn solo if at all possible haha.
