in honor of New York's newest EP release, here is a remix I made for their single "together" 

New York is one of my favorite projects out right now. their new EP continues building on what has made their work so exciting up to this point; infinitely and hypnotically catchy while eschewing archetypal markers of catchiness, with left-field beats that wildly dance between lush and frenetic in a glitched-out, anything-goes atmosphere of sounds both romantically nostalgic and optimistically forward-thinking. using Voice as an instrument in this electronic kaleidoscope, and at times simply as texture, with looped syllables abstracted from their lyrical content painting whole bars in a glossy finish, New York delivers a singular, tactile vision unlike much else in the underground. big upps to @skydoki for putting me on to this amazing duo.

For this remix, I wanted to lean into the cool sense of sensual yearning that the original evokes, inspired by nights soundtracked by old soundcloud cuts from the likes of Mr. Carmack, Oshi, Sophie Meiers, CYGN, SwuM, and so many more insanely talented artists that you had to be there to witness. music to chill and make out to. enjoy <3
