Strap in, clubbers! ALIIRA is back in the booth with a track hotter than a warehouse in July. She's dropped "Escucha," a sizzling electro-leaning house number, and it's pure fire. This Ukrainian groove architect, previously one-half of the renowned Husky project, is flexing her solo skills on Zatar Music's latest release. Mark your calendars for August 15, folks.

After years of crafting dancefloor gems, ALIIRA's got her eyes on the prize. Her "Escucha" EP is a tasty blend of original tracks and slamming remixes, showing off her knack for making the crowd move. The title track "Escucha" is a vibrant explosion of vocal chops and crisp percussion. It's punchy, vibrant, and practically begs for a reload in those basement clubs.

Danish dynamo NILU (DK) and Zatar chief Phonique take the remix reins. They’ve sculpted an angular, edgy rework that screams peak-time play. This remix doesn't just send the room sideways; it twists it into a cosmic frenzy. Perfect for those East Berlin sweatboxes or a cheeky London afters.

Partial PR: The 45th release on microCastle welcomes Navar & Mononoid to the label for the debut of their collaborative project. Dutch artist Navar returns to the Canadian imprint following his 'Moments In Life EP' from November of 2014. As one of the underground's most creative talents Navar has shaped a sound all his own, full of soulful qualities and organic design. Appearances on Guy J's Lost & Found Records coupled with a sparse release schedule has only made the love for his sound stronger. Meanwhile Mononoid, also hailing from the Netherlands are making their much anticipated label debut. First conceptualized in  2011, Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy make up the Mononoid production duo. A string of releases on Traum got their career off to a great start and their modern take on techno has since been showcased by Einmusika, Lost & Found and Sisyphon. Much like Navar, Mononoid have been praised for their creative vision and the fusion of  these three intuitive minds was a project that had to be put into motion. Some winter months locked away in the studio has resulted in the much anticipated three track EP entitled 'Dreambox',  alongside a remix from YokoO of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and All Day I Dream.

The lone interpretation of 'Ad Litem' is provided by YokoO who is making a welcome first appearance on the label. The French born artist, long term Australian resident, now calls Berlin, Germany home where his inspiration has flourished. YokoO's unique approach to house music has touched the hearts of electronic music fans all over the world, and filled his discography with emotive creations on All Day I Dream, Musik Gewinnt Freunde and Kindisch. His warm, melodious approach has worked wonders on  'Ad Litem'. Tailoring the production down both in scope and tempo, YokoO has reshaped the track into a laid back, emotive piece which comes from the heart, as he describes "Sydney, early December 2015. A sunny day by Bondi beach, a broken heart desperately seeking understanding & healing, a desire for things to change, a pixie den, a light breeze blowing through the windows, hippies smoking weed around, 24 hours of immersion, a couple of swims and yoga classes in between . . . Et voila!"

Charlie Thorstenson is a creative soul from Malmö, Sweden. Producer, live artist and dj. His sound can be described as warm and grainy acid soundscapes combined with a deep techno foundation. 

Imperfection makes perfection. Those are the leading words in his creative process. The fascination for finding unusual details and rhythms in long and unstable effect lines is a big part of the sound. It’s a close collaboration with both new and vintage hardware, where everyone gets to have their say. Long and improvised recordings are left with their unpredicted quirks. Often embracing them and giving them a leading role in the productions. 

The live element is important to Charlie. Both as a producer and performer. The released tracks can be seen as a suggestion, a sketch, or maybe just one out of many versions. On stage, the tracks are deconstructed and, together with the dancing souls on the floor, shaped into something new.
A drum machine, an acid synth and a legendary percussion box forms the improvised foundation in his live sets. In combination with live-manipulated recordings, the warm and dusty sound of Charlie is ensured.

His approach and dedication has gained massive recognition among the big names in the scene, and has led to several releases on Josh Wink's "Ovum Recordings”, a live performance at Richie Hawtins "ENTER." (at legendary Space Ibiza), as well as support from Dewitte, Anja Schneider, Gregor Tresher and Adriatique among many others.
