He is the hybrid of madness and sensibility. The product of vague imagery and lucid prose. The sum of originality and uninhibited imagination, crafting a class of music you didn’t even know you liked yet…

He is Clark Parker. Mild mannered lyricist and producer.

Renaissance man Clark Parker is on an assignment to etch out a musical niche for an audience that has long been overlooked in hip hop -- the visionaries – a community of listeners who look far beyond the surface of daily existence, keeping their eyes and ears infinitely open to the mysteries of the universe in search of greater principle. Clark does not have all the answers. But he sure as hell knows which questions to ask.

His inspiration is drawn from a wide array of muses: Cinema, literature, rock and roll, philosophy, television, and above all else, comics -- which function as the quintessential reflection of the human pursuit for identity and purpose. Having dabbled in journalism in both high school and college, Clark’s past bears an uncanny resemblance to certain iconic figures in American superhero folklore. Furthermore, his distinctive methods personify what many would even refer to as a “comic book style” – quick, witty, and rhythmically animated. That’s also not to mention that, in a world full of vile musical antagonists, Clark exhibits traits of the quintessential underdog: Gifted, flawed, and up against tremendous odds.

Straying far from the dim-witted and fatigued pitfalls of typical rap music, Clark knows that it takes more than street cred and a hedonist attitude to consider oneself a contender in the culture of hip hop. Any corporate dummy can do a dance and crank out a melodious tune for the blind, deaf, and dumb. However, only few have the ability to capture the hearts and minds of the people whose many influences will propel them into being the leaders of tomorrow. Clark is that species of free thinker who cannot be corrupted. He is unbound by the hegemonic labels that pigeonhole far too many artists into becoming corporate drones of superficiality.

Clark knows that it is rational thinking at a radical pace that will implement revolution and aid us in breaking free from the bondage of backward progressing music. We must never cease searching for truth and must always challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of what stimulates not only the ears, but the mind and soul as well.

Clark Parker is no superhero. But he knows that knowledge is power and that with great power comes great responsibility.

And, above all else, our greatest responsibility is to open our eyes…
