(Bio: This song is an old poem about my first love. I fell in love for the first time on June 30th 2021 and it shifted the direction of my life moving forward. The relationship between us was lovely in the beginning and came to a terrible end. We started off as really good friends and got really close with each other during the pandemic. She was a foster child so she was restricted access from having a phone. Since it was during the pandemic the way school worked was in broken concerts/ blocks. I was only set to see her on every Wednesday and Thursday of the week. We had 2 classes together back to back and we would finish all of our work beforehand so we had the entirety of the periods to explore each other’s minds and adventure within conversation. I never harbored lustful feelings towards her because I genuinely saw her as my best friend. Those 2 short days of the week I was able to speak with her were my everything, and it made those moment all the more valuable. The summer of that year everything changed when we decided to hang out outside of school. By this time she was acquitted a phone and left the foster system so we were able to communicate. June 29th she came to my studio further explored the depths of each others psyche. We laughed, joked, cried, and bonded more than ever outside of school. That day was favored mutually between us and we decided to do it again the next day but I’d instead be going to where she’d like. She asked to meet at a park and that’s where everything shifted. Nothing was planned, everything started to flow the way it was supposed to after that. We got really deep into speaking about trauma and suicide whilst listening to music under a tree. I’ll never forget the light rain dancing above us falling softer than ever. Before I knew it, we intertwined as one and shared an intimate experience under the moonlight that night. June 30th. Fast forward a few months everything shifted for the worse and long story short I pushed a relationship too much and we were not on the same page. We argued, debated, and clashed hard to the point of no conversation at all and it left me feeling more alone than ever. It made me question if I was good enough; Why did everything go south? It made me rethink everything and took almost a year to get over. This song expresses my distress during that time and how my days of her are gone. The end of a lovely bond; A beautiful confusion.)
