Operating on instinct, Haumea crafts primitive, sensory-rich compositions shaped by a mind attuned to nature’s rhythms, ancient symbols, and the microscopic textures of animation sound design. These neatly produced DJ tools are influenced by movement, memory, and the pull of the natural world. It underscores Haumea’s role as a craftsman of inward journeys, and Rhiza Semar’s evolution as the perfect home for such work.

The title track opens with tunneling, dub-infused energy and a nostalgic edge, followed by ‘I don’t want to wake up’ , a rolling groove with pulsing low-end and warped rides. On the flip, ‘Long Reach’ brings a bright lead, lush pads, and hypnotic vocals before ‘If I could see the future’ closes with chugging, dub-tinged rhythms for a deep, late-night finish.

Black and white tones remind me of minimalistic, powerful rhythms and vibrations that move through the body.

When I made the tracks and painted the artwork, I trusted my intuition. In my mind, I saw angular, square shapes that, in combination with strong contrasts, created an image of vibration. Something hypnotic and deeply resonant. 

I wanted to fuse deep bass atmospheres and the relentless momentum of techno. Creative, percussive and unmistakably dubby. Raw and distinctive soundscapes that wake you up and pull you in, with a vibe that’s full of energy yet never loses its punch. Every element is finely tuned to maintain that mystical, percussive groove: hypnotic, dubbed-out momentum.   

I've closed the EP with a cinematic outro that I hope conveys a deep an lingering intensity. Textures in slow motion puling you inward, shaping in your mind as you slowly dissolve into meditation.

MUADEEP has also honored me with a fresh and genre-bending jersey-perspective in his remix.
