This album, much like my current emotions, becomes a reflection of the now, despite being written in the past. It captures the essence of the ongoing process of becoming who I am right at this moment. Recognising the flows and imperfections in the tunes and in life, I find myself in a position of power—having the ability to overcome and become a more stable, enlightened version of myself

“Soprano Is Dead” coming out 24th of January, could be used as a metaphor for romantic ideals. In the song, the female opera singer, capturing Meineliebe, becomes a shadow within an electronic mass. ~Mel Ody

Drowning means a lot to me, i've put so much emotion and effort to make it as perfect as possible and i'm pretty happy to be finally able to share it with you all.

*long story short*

I wrote this song while I was in the middle of my summer residency in 2018. 
It was after a long break from production and I was feeling homesick;I wanted to create something that would remind me of home. 
The title “Drowning” refers to all the anxiety and stress I was experiencing at the time, even though I was living on an island doing what I love, which many would say is the best way of living. 
I love how Like Lions captured a similar feeling with his lyrical work; referring to a broken relationship and how he was feeling like he was “drowning.

“Tokyo” is one of the oldest songs I’ve had in the vault. I wrote it almost two years ago, yet it’s one of my favourites. It’s kind of weird, but when I finished it, it gave me this feeling, and I wanted “Tokyo” to be the title no matter what. Julian Comeau recorded his part along with “Still Kids”, the other song we have together, and absolutely nailed the vision I had in my head; to create a perfect bridge between pop and electronic music.”
