Devyn Jon Silverstein is a Los Angeles based Producer/Top-Liner/DJ from Los Angeles, California. The product of an African American mother and a Jewish father, his upbringing was a fusion of cultures, ideals, and tastes. He can trace his musical influences back to the Motown and Philadelphia soul that he heard as a child, as well as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Growing up in "The Valley," he was exposed to Rock & Roll and Pop music and was taught to play the piano and drums at an early age. He began to sing at age 13 and was a member of the famed Agape Church Choir in LA. 

Devyn attended Agoura High School; the same school attended by artists Mike Shinoda and Hoobastank. In high school he was a member of the nationally ranked Agoura High School Choir, an ensemble that has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Staples Center. He was a member of several of their performances including a competition with the Los Angeles Master Chorale at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It was around this time that he began to make ‘beats’ using Garageband and then Apple’s Logic Pro software. 

Using the moniker “D.Magic’, Devyn has produced for several independent hip-hop artists including Sherman Way, P. Rohn and The PCH Crew, and NuBreed Recording Artist Tryfle. “Pretty Woman”, a song he co-wrote with Rohn, has been played on Kiss FM 104.7 in Los Angeles. In 2008 he also participated in Indaba Music’s Mariah Carey Remix Competition. Of over 20,000 entries, he placed in the top 50. In 2009 he co-founded The Architects, a songwriting team formed with his brother, bassist Jayme David Silverstein. He is also a registered ASCAP member. His musical associations include the Marble Collegiate Church Gospel Choir, a nationally recognized gospel choir. Devyn spent 5 years in New York djing at several popular New York venues and writing with up and coming aritsts. Driven by his passion for music, he hopes to make a positive contribution to popular music and leave a lasting impression through his vivid lyrics and pounding drum beats.
