This is my first ever solo track called 'Sorry' I have been working this project idea for a while and now I finally feel like letting it out. I also felt it was a very fitting title for my first track as anyone who knows me will know, I say sorry about 50,000 times a conversation, so It only seems right! I really wanted to keep my sound quite punkish and real because I have been spending my whole musical life so far making sure everything is polished, pretty and perfect.

Producer and solo artist Lauren Deakin Davies has been trailblazing through the industry in the past couple of years. She won the NMG Producer of the Year award in 2017, was a panellist at Pro Sound’s PSNPresents networking and panel night in November last year and is the youngest ever female producer to have had music played on BBC Radio 2. She spoke to us about her highlights thus far, entry barriers facing those in the industry and the importance of the Music Producers Guild.

Winner of NMG Awards 'Breakthrough Artist' for 2018, DIDI, aka Lauren Deakin Davies has played in bands for the last 11 years. It shows. Now 23, her confident and engaging stage presence blends with years of song writing experience, resulting in an exhilarating and engaging live set as she performs her catchy, amusing and sometimes fierce self penned tunes, usually now with an all girl band. DIDI decided to write and perform her own music after writing Sorry, a song which she just ‘had’ to perform live, in April 2017. As a producer she was able to record, mix and release in record time. She is about to release her 5th single Fickle Friends. DIVA Magazine premiered her second single remarking ‘DIDI stands out from the regular pop crowd as a fierce and fearless artist, following her epic debut single, Sorry, comes the brilliant new track Awkward. Enjoy a new anthem for the LGBTQ community’. She is currently working on her debut EP, which is out on 1st November 2018.
