I had the honor of opening for an absolute legend this weekend and my all time favorite DJ, John Digweed, at the Great Northern. 

Digweed and the Bedrock label have been an inspiration for me for 25 years and defined progressive house for a generation of party goers just as I was discovering electronic music. This set is so meaningful to me, and I am still in disbelief to see me on the decks with the Bedrock logo behind me.

Sessions 039 - Feel Good Afrolatin at Sunset

DWSM's music blends the sounds of Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and the Mediterranean with the electronic beats and syncopated melodies of drum machines and analog synthesizers.

Raised internationally with a childhood in Saudi Arabia, DWSM was steeped in the sounds of the Middle East from an early age. At six he started playing classical piano and a few years later the trumpet, with synthesizers and electronic music changing the course of his life in his teenage years.

Groovy yet energetic his sets draw on a range of genres including deep house, afro and afrolatin, indie dance, and organic house.

Based in San Francisco he has played at clubs throughout the city and at Burning Man, and has opened for artists such as Kaz James, John Digweed, Eli Fola, and Stephan Bodzin with 2025 slated to support Eelke Kleijn, Eli Nissan, Itai & Friends, and Rodriguez Jr.
