Molefi Kalvin Kgwakgwe(born February 3, 1995) is a South African recording artist, songwriter and an entrepreneur. Raised in Unit 14, Mafikeng in the North West province. Kalvin started his music career as a teenager in 2010 under the stage name Earth Kwake(pronounced as earthquake). 

Earth Kwake started gaining recognition in 2015 when he was in a rap group called TrippyNation SA. He released his first project Road To Success with the rap crew. 

In 2016, Earth Kwake began his solo career. He started being interested in playing instruments like keyboards. He was inspired and influenced by his long time friend and record producer Mula. The rapper has been releasing singles. He is now signed to an independent label #4Dreamsellers.

Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with the likes of Lulo Cafe, Miss Pru, DJ Big Boy, Ginger Trill, Rhuff Sketch, Notshi, Szoundbank, TrippyJayTheDj, Beatjunky, Proper, Streetz, A1, KingTouch, Nasi TauTona. 

He grew up listening to Proverb, HHP, Ludacris, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Lucky Cube, Damain Marley, Nas, Erykah Badu, Lira, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Brenda Fassie. His music style is influenced by Kendrick Lamar, Nas. 

Earth Kwake states that performing at Litchenburg was the highlight of his career because it was the first time he performed outside of his home town. He also states that working with Rhuff Sketch is one of the best achievements in his music career because he grew up looking up to the rapper.

He is currently working on his debut solo album #Dreams4Sale which is set to be released this festive season. The rapper is about to release a collaboration album with Fyah Chant, Gomza G Mokala and Mula on the production.
