The world is in a downwards spiral which has been going on for the last few years. In spite of this I remain hopeful that we will come out the other side stronger and more united as a species and more in tune with our planet. My music in 2022 is all based around the theme of Hope and all the singles I will be releasing in 2022 (of which this is the first) have names which are synonyms of Hope. Hence this first single in 2022 is called 'Aspiration'. It's a tune about aspiring for a happier more positive and peaceful world for future generations to grow up in. 

The way the mainstream media portrays the world isn’t always necessarily the full story. There are way more positive things in the world than we’re being shown. Visit the Positive News website or buy their magazine to see. In spite of all the shit and the mess, in spite of global warming, Trump, Brexit, Covid, etc, it’s still possible to have hope that good things will come. It’s easy for people to get swallowed up by the negative news and all the doom & gloom that we’re shown every day. It’s harder to look past that and see the beauty in everything. To see the possibility and opportunity for us to grow as a species and to have hope that our kids and grandkids will grow up in a better world than the one we’re living in today. I want my music to evoke all of this. That’s what my music in 2022 is driven by. Hope. Glass half full baby. See the beauty in everything. Starting with this, Aspiration.

Aspiration

For this tune I went heavily with #labscommunity05 , specifically labs Arctic Swells by Jon Meyer , also labs Foehn Synth, plus labs drums and labs string ensemble. Also there is live trumpet and live guitar by me. There are some points where the volume gets a bit distorted in the mix, I left these in to give it a more authentic feel, also I quite like it.
