Spring is here in the Northern hemisphere, and in most of the world we can't really dance yet like we are used to. No Way Out EP - "Divorced" aims to describe the feeling of being left by someone you love. The guitar expresses a sense of loneliness, the metallic percussion gives an ominous impression of rattling chains. These feeling are mixed with anger & disbelief, which come across through the driving bass line. Meanwhile, individual synth sounds suggest a far-off cry for help.

"Still in Love" begins with a guitar melody and string section evoking a romantic mood upon which the songs gradually builds. The powerful foundation expresses the gravity and depth of the subject before the song suddenly opens up. In the second half of the track, in particular, the guitar, strings and synths conjure up a feeling of endlessness. Then comes another moment of calm, leaving pause for a long kiss, before the track begins to build again. A romantic song that evokes wonderful mental images without becoming corny.

In "No Way Out" we hear the guitar play a funky, summery riff. The groovy bass line and driving percussion implore us to go crazy on the dance floor. As the track develops a rave-like synth sound emerges, adding tremendous energy to the mix. A confident, summer-time song that is simply about having fun.

In mysterious ways, paths from the past sometimes cross once again, leading to wonderful outcomes. Such is the case here, as we are thrilled to welcome our longtime companion, Maxi aka Kerosino, to our label for his upcoming EP.

His dark, midtempo-leaning sound perfectly suits the gloomy season and had us convinced from the very first listen. The two original tracks are complemented by equally compelling remixes from Air Horse One, Richard Elcox, and Matija.

We're delighted that this release has come to fruition and hope you enjoy it thoroughly. As always, the artwork has been contributed by our graphic wizard, Kilian Van de Water.

I am Frost aka René Frost wurde 1987 in Feldberg geboren und lebt derzeit in der Techno-Hauptstadt Berlin. Auf dem Fusion Festival 2005 erlebte René den magischen Moment der ihn mit der Begeisterung für elektronische Musik infizierte. Als er vom Festival zurückkehrte besorgte er sofort seine ersten Turntables, einen Mixer und ein Bundle Vinyl. 2009 kehrte er dem Dorf den Rücken um am SAE-Institute Berlin Musikproduktion zu studieren und wurde bald darauf ein Teil des Vergissmeinnicht Künstlerkollektivs. 2013 startete René sein I am Frost Projekt und begann live auf diversen Festivals und Locations zu spielen. Seitdem hat René sich als Produzent konstant weiterentwickelt und EPs, Remixes und Singles auf verschiedenen Labels veröffentlicht.
