Osama and I are covering the King of Covers, the brilliant Alaa Wardi. Not just that, but we chose a song that means so much to the both of us "Wenti Mastaneti." A dialogue between a man in love and a woman that won't "wait" or give it a chance. I've wanted to cover this song for so long, and now it happened! I also want to say that it was such a memorable experience for me to do my first duet with someone as talented, kind-hearted, hard-working and creative as Osama. You are a breath of fresh air my friend!

الأغنية دي ليها مكانة كبيرة ف قلبي عشان من زمان و أنا نفسي أقدم فن سوداني احتفالا بالبلد الجميلة و الحضارة العريقة و الأهم من ده كل ده الناس اللي دمهم عسل. تحية كبيرة للسودان و أهلها. اتربيت معاهم و عشت وسطهم (ملاك صديقة عمري بحبك) و ربنا دايما يديم الحب بين البلدين و كل بلدان العالم! .أتمنى إن لكنتي في الأغنية تكون قريبة و خفيفة عالقلب

This song is very special to me because I have always wanted to sing in Sudanese Arabic, celebrating this amazing country, its fascinating culture and most importantly its beautiful people! I for one grew up with them, one of my childhood best friends is Sudanese (Malak I love you.) May our countries grow to love each other by the day and all the countries of the world! في يوم رحت أقابل منتج عشان يكتشفني. أول حاجة قلهالي هي "إنتي تخينة!" قلتله "و ماله حضرتك مش هتسمع صوتي؟" بصلي بقرف و قالي "لا مفيش داعي.. روحي يا ماما خسيلك بتاع 20 كيلو كده و بعدها نبقى نسمع!" طبعا أنا خدت بعضي و مشيت و أنا في خيبة أمل فظيعة و إنه إزاي في ناس بتفكر كده! لكن بعد ما عيط شوية و فكيت عن نفسي، جبت ورقه و قلم و كتبت الأغنية دي و في ثانية اللحن طلع في دماغي و هوبا كلمت صديقي الفنان شريف الوسيمي عشان يوزعها و أنتجنا الأغنية الرائعة أم دم خفيف دي بمساعدة أساتذة في المزيكا زي معتز ندى و عمرو طنطاوي و وائل النجار و عز شهوان و هاني بدير و أحمد سليمان.

كلنا فينا عيوب. بس كام واحد فينا بص للعيوب دي على إنها دافع لتطوير النفس؟ طب بلاش, كام واحد فينا بدل ما يحط إيده على خده و يتحسر, مسك العيوب دي واحده واحده و اتريق على نفسه؟ طب مين فينا عارف عيوبه و متقبلها لإن هي اللي بتميزه عن غيره؟ في كذا طريقه غير السلبيه ممكن نعالج بيها عيوبنا و نتقبلها.

Ballouna

All the way from Turkey, The Eskimo -music producer- and myself just finished our first track together " I Don't Know." A dance track which I am very pleased with given it's the first time to perform such a musical style, and I'm excited about this whole new experience. Even though we never met, The Eskimo and I gave it our best! 

This song is about not knowing where a person stands in your life. Do u want them? Do u not? Would u rather have them by ur side, or away from u? Confusion takes over, and you're unsure what they mean to you, so you decide to be upfront about it and tell them about your fluctuating feelings. 

A story of me, and how I felt towards a certain man at one point in my life.
