This isn't really a song. I just went through and created a bunch of synth samples (and pulled one out of a sample library I have) and created a weird beat with them. The goal was to create a symmetrical mix as far as sound placement goes but to have all the actual sounds be unique. 

Let me know if you have any tips on how to improve on this.

Mixing Practice 2

Today I purchased Steinberg's Retrologue & a TAL Sampler. I figured a good introduction to the devices would be to use a single middle c note and manipulate it a bunch. I ended up passing 5 different notes through my synthesizer and then passed those 5 notes through the sampler. This track is just a sample of the sounds I made.

The order is:
1) Standard Synth Key
2) Key Manipulated By Synth
3) Manipulated Key Passed Through Sampler

Synth & Sampler Testing: Middle C

Same song and dance as yesterday but I used a 4 note pattern as the base and built from there. Just six measures of me messing around with the soundstage. The sounds aren't really meant to fit together.

Day 2: Synth & Sampler Testing

I've now been learning for two months. I decided that I'd create an 8 measure beat and then upload the unmixed and mixed tracks so that I can see how much I've actually learned. I think it was a pretty cool idea.

First comes the unmixed track, then a few seconds of silence, then the mixed product. For the love of god please use headphones if you have them.
