ILLUSION

I enjoyed making this one the most. 

It was definitely the toughest. I changed direction a few times!

All of the stems are in there. Howard’s vocal is also doing some drum sounds & vocal chops! 

I went with a housey kinda vibe on the drop.

Disclosure x Goodwill - Borderline (#BeHoward4.0Competition)

After Guy Lawrence (Disclosure) & the community heard me singing with my band on Disclosure’s last Thursday Twitch stream, i decided to bring my band to the 9th Be Howard Competition this week. This band is led by me as the lead singer & multi-instrumentalist with revolving members and collaborators since 2012. This song is called “Gairah Sia-Sia” which in English means “Vain Passion”. The song written by myself in Bahasa Indonesia and the original version was released in 2017. This new 2020 version is quite different from the original version. 

Anyway since this is the 9th Be Howard, 

this song tempo is 99BPM, 

with 9 Bus Tracks on Logic Pro X Session, 

with 9 Plug-ins on the mastering chain,

and the song duration is 3:33 (3+3+3=9)

Christmas Guarantee - Be Howard Winners Circle (Disclosure)

Really challenging this week.
Took me a lot of time to get an idea going - but I'm happy with the end result.

- Took the melody of the bassline, tweaked it little, and used my minilogue to make a lead synth. Highpassed the drums and used them as perc.
- Vocals are from Splice. Did a bit rearranging and pitched them up to match the chords.
(Mix could use some work, but didn't have time)

14th submission now, bleeding eck. 

Unlike a lot of the others, for this one I spent pretty much a full 48 hours. I tried to keep the stems at the forefront, and build upon them while getting a tad poetic-y at times. Hopefully this fits the bill! 

Rhodes, Rhythm, vocals and darker undertones, does it get more Jamie A than that?
