JP Reynolds is an innovative rapper and magnetic performer with an eclectic sound. He challenges all expectations and changes the way people experience hip-hop's rich, vibrant, complex culture.

Beginning with his crowdfunded debut Guavamatic Space Dream, JP boasts both a discography and a stage presence that feel vintage and futuristic at the same time. Propelled by people power, JP Reynolds has produced multiple U.S. tours in the homes of fans and supporters. These Kitchen Sessions began as a way to promote his second project Rap Gumbo, and they have grown to become an example of what’s possible when music artists choose to courageously innovate and refrain from surrendering to drab industry trends.

After the first round of Kitchen Sessions were halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, JP Reynolds teamed up with DJ/Producer BACHTROY for Stir Crazy, an experimental fusion of house, rap, funk, and electronic music. Next was Soul Raps, a collection of songs that employ a traditional hip-hop formula of soulful beats, thoughtful bars, and rhythmic cadences. And Peace and Power Planet features his longtime backing instrumentalists, The PEACEANDPOWER Band.

In addition to music making, JP Reynolds is the Principal at Peace and Power Media, a creative studio amplifying voices at the intersection of culture, justice, thought, and community. He holds a B.A. in African-American Studies and an M.Div. both from Yale University where he was a recipient of the William Pickens Prize.
