As with any artist, fans want to know who an artist compare themselves to and where they receive inspiration. For J.Rosser, the style would be a mix between Miguel and Prince, with Miguel being his absolute favorite singer. ‘Influenced by?’, J.Rosser responds, “Certainly Usher and Mint Condition. Jazmine Sullivan gives me strength in writing. KeKe Wyatt inspires my vocal cords and again my all around favorite, Miguel. I love his artistry.” J.Rosser’s personal feelings about his music are that he wants it to be a therapeutic medicine for listeners. Not just another artist with an ordinary track, but wanting fans to make his music a part of their lifestyle, something they embellish in daily. “When you’re brushing your teeth, J.Rosser is on your stereo, driving to work, in the club, while you relax, making love, you can vibe to the sounds of my music and there is a song for that time in your life.”, says J. He declines to classify himself into one specific genre of music. “I’ll let the fans and execs decide, I just want to make satisfying music at this point.” He explains.

At this moment in time, J.Rosser is working feverishly to develop his brand, establish himself as an industry hard- hitter as both a writer and singer. Often times, he is working hand in hand with famed producers and writers in the industry. His newly released track, “On The Flo” is gaining notable attraction and his EP, “Your$Truly”, is due out in late February 2014. His songwriting work is also being listened to for placement consideration by some heavyweights whom shall remain unnamed.

Eating right, living right, and doing right by others, is the day to day life approach that J takes. He isn't one who is looking to capture the first record deal that comes his way. J.Rosser simply wants to write and deliver some great music. If it makes you dance, cry, shout, sing along, or any other verb that you can find to help glorify this sentence, then he feels he has done his job.
