Hailing from North London, Kofi Kay is a singer/songwriter/producer ranging in styles from R&B to Hip Hop and everything in-between. He grew up heavily influenced by music within his household, His father being a Choir director. Possessing a variety of influences from the likes of Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Usher and Pharrell Williams. In 2016, after years of singing covers and being a backing vocalist in iconic venues and at award shows such as the BRIT awards for artists such as: Justin Timberlake & the band 1975, Kofi started to release his own songs online and develop his craft as a singer and producer.   Kofi has an outstanding vocal range with a distinct falsetto, accompanied with complex yet soft harmony arrangements within his music. He has assimilated the music of several genres which he has been exposed to. This includes: jazz, classical, reggae, afrobeats and gospel. However, his music is rooted in R&B. He draws inspiration from artists of all genres and is not afraid to experiment and apply himself in unfamiliar grounds. Kofi is truly an artist who blurs the musical line.
