Afropop superstar MR EAZI today shares new single “The Don” along with details of his forthcoming EP, Something Else, coming Feb. 19 via his own Banku Music label and emPawa Africa. 
Produced by Killertunes and E Kelly, “The Don” is a larger-than-life, opera-flavored afro-trap anthem that offers listeners a first taste of Something Else, and a window into MR EAZI’s ever-expanding world. It follows a busy 2020 for the Nigerian recording artist and African music mogul which saw him expand his emPawa Africa initiative; launch the Africa Music Fund, an innovative financial vehicle designed to make capital available to African artists; and release successful collaborations with Major Lazer/Nicki Minaj and J Balvin, among others. “Nobody,” his link-up with DJ Neptune and #emPawa100 alum Joeboy, was the No. 1 single of the year in Nigeria, generating over 100 million streams worldwide.

Estelle Lavaud, 21 known as ‘Lavaud’ is a British singer-songwriter from Hackney, London. Lavaud’s family heritage comes from the island nation of Mauritius, a diverse background she credits much of her early musical development too.

Lavaud’s debut single ‘Deep’ is scheduled for a Summer 2016 release, showcasing her sultry-power vocals alongside a rhythmic guitar driven composition. Lavaud has been identified as ‘One to Watch 2016’ by the UK MOBO’s unsigned committee.

“I grew up surrounded by music of all genres. My father is my biggest influence, he is an amazing musician and I was exposed to so much learning from him. I listened to Sega, a traditional Mauritian sound, also influenced by greats like Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Bob Marley and Beyonce”.
