If Carrie Bradshaw (the main character of the tv show sex and the city) wrote songs instead of newspaper columns, Lulise’s songs would be the perfect time capsules of what it’s like to look for love as a 20 something.

Her 2022 valentines single “99%” is a retro soul pop ballad about “falling in love with a friend.”  Lyrically illustrating the struggle of holding back your love for someone in fear that they might not feel the same for you. This nostalgic r&b vibe breathes new life into Lulise’s pop sound.
