I am thrilled to feature Last Gentleman On Playa, a music producer, digital nomad, and active burner, in the latest episode of the Journey Series.

As one of the visionary founders of the "It's Good to Be a Tree" (@itsgoodtobeatree) label, his artistic journey began in 2019 when he launched a camp at a regional Burning Man event and took on the role of DJ to bring it to life.

This episode offers an exclusive listen to a set recorded in the vibrant surroundings of Bali, Indonesia, during the after-party of the Suara Festival, held in the cutting-edge city of Nuanu. 

The mix is a sonic voyage filled with Last Gentleman On Playa’s unreleased tracks from his upcoming EPs, as well as selections from the "It's Good to Be a Tree" label. Complementing these are rare gems he has uncovered in recent months, making this a must-listen for fans of innovative and immersive soundscapes.

What an incredible weekend filled with laughter, dancing, and an amazing crowd! The journey began in Zurich, and no one knew where it would lead. We ended up in the mountains, on Pilatus, where I had the honor of playing the opening set for an energetic and lively group of people.

I had so much fun preparing and playing this set, so here’s a little memory from that wonderful, sunny afternoon!

Sometimes you stumble into a situation where the community, creativity, music, sounds, lighting, food, connections and environment blow you open in all the best ways allowing magic to happen. With technical issues that could sway you (lost all my usb keys and was bound to one spontaneously curated limited playlist with a large majority of corrupted files. Classic), these occurrences actually allow for something that transcends all thought and projections and allow something new that otherwise wouldn't have been and ends up taking you in a direction that is just as its meant to be. This set was one of those times.

Thank you to L'A Cultural Festival and the entire team and thank you thank you thank you to all involved in this moment, the lead up to it and the landing.
