‘In My Head’ sees Made By Pete collaborate with live act Secret Echoes. Both artists picked up coveted ‘Essential New Tunes’ from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 in 2024 and their collaboration is a great example of two styles combining to create something unexpected and fresh.

The GRAMMY-nominated Nic Fanciulli unites with vocalist and songwriter Marc E. Bassy for ‘Hold On’ on Defected. Since previous label hits ‘I Want You’ with Butch and ‘Vente’ with Callussa, Nic Fanciulli has continued to nurture his Saved imprint, releasing ‘Set Me Free’ with Robert Courtois, a future club classic and five-week Beatport No.1 still receiving consistent club play nearly a year later. Continuing to build his relationship with Defected, 2025 will see Fanciulli play the label’s Pacha Ibiza residency and both flagship festivals in Croatia and Malta. For his anticipated Defected return, ‘Hold On’, Fanciulli collaborates with celebrated crossover artist Marc E. Bassy. Producer duo Grigoré & Serve Cold deliver a club-ready remix of Defected’s summer anthem ‘Edge Of Desire’ by Jonas Blue & Malive. The good friends and frequent collaborators Grigoré and Serve Cold are on a roll with the London label in 2025; their smash hit ‘Dancing’ with Jaguar Jaguar made waves in June, topping the Beatport Afro House chart, appearing on Defected’s coveted In The House Ibiza 2025 compilation and reaching four million streams in under two months. The artists then released ‘LOW’ (Love is the Only Way) at the end August, quickly followed by this hard-hitting take on ‘Edge Of Desire’. The duo’s remix of the Jonas Blue & Malive summer favourite brings the original’s open-air festival vibe into the club, with deep, rolling basslines and expressive synth spikes supporting the spacious and now very recognisable vocal hook.
