The voice that comes once in a lifetime with perfect pitch,melody and power. Nothing you have heard before but everything you would expect from someone who is as talented and beautiful as singer/songwriter Melissa Morales. 
Singing has always been a way of life for Melissa. Born, Melissa Alicia Morales on August the 2nd in Queens, New York, she knew at an early age she had a special gift. When she was 5, she joined the Mount Olivet Church choir, but it wasn’t until Melissa solely sang in church that, she and others around her discovered her true potential. While her family wondered where the voice came from, Melissa knew at that moment the stage will be her newly found home. Nothing was going to stop Melissa after this revelation. Growing up, Melissa would enter and win several local talent shows and made her TV debut on Nickelodeons “Stick Stickly Show”. She had found her niche. She began writing and performing solo at 11 and has been writing all of her music since. Although she moved a lot, Melissa was always able to connect with people through her music. After graduating from her performing arts high school she landed her first music contract at the age of 18. She was recognized for singing the hook on hip hops infamous Goodie Mobs “Khujo” and the hook to rapper Gucci Mane. It doesn't stop there she recently featured on rapper E.D.IMean from the outlawz mixtape Title O.G. Track "Its Over". What others will perceive as success in their careers, she felt it was just the beginning for her. She promised herself not to give up on her music and also not to stop at just singing hooks and featuring on songs."I want to share my music with the world so bad "she says" and I have what it takes". Years later and independent from the record label,her experience and humility are the two most important things that drive and empower her to keep performing at amazing and extraordinary heights which also led her to embark on a mission that will blow her fans away. Melissa has also worked with Grammy Award winning Producers such as Duke Williams and is currently recording and finishing her Monumental Project which features her debut single"Complicated" written by Max Faulcon and Co-Wrote by Melissa Morales . 
After much anticipation Melissa’s debut singles “Complicated” a ballad about the complications of being in love and “Again” an upbeat record about not wanting to repeat mistakes of love, is set to be released summer 2014. Melissa has definitely brought the feeling of the 90s back with a modern day swag all while creating her own Genre. Her musical influences include Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Mya, Tamia, Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles and the late Whitney Houston.
