This is a remix I made in late 2017 of Bejeweled Twist's Blitz Mode theme, which I had the intention to self-release at one point. After coming very close to doing it several times, I ended up dismissing it for various reasons, and thus never saw the light of day, until now.

This game's soundtrack, while obscure, is still one of my all time favourites, and has greatly influenced my composition & overall style, to the point where I continue to resample instruments & effects from it to this day.
Maybe a little less blatantly. ;)

Here's an obscure one. Literally.

I made this in February 2019 for another Novatone (fka Elevate) event called Obscure Genre Competition, where artists would be randomly assigned a genre of electronic music that not many people are aware of. Like Technicolor, this one *was* uploaded to Novatone's Soundcloud, but never promoted by me as an official release, so it kinda just faded into obscurity, no pun intended.

I remember making this entire track in a single day, and it ended up sounding like nothing I would make myself.
Goes to show why I never released it, at least under modus.

So I thought I'd drop it on Lost Files for everyone to see, after almost 3 years of sitting in my hard drive. Downloads enabled if you want it.

modus LIVE 2022: "Please Stand By"

Originally released in 2016 under Delta Sigma Records, this melodic track from my producer beginnings was later deleted after the label went under a few months later.

modus - Amethyst Ft. Lokka [2016, Removed]

This Paradise was my first attempt at ambient, all the way back in early 2017. I wasn't entirely proud of it, so I deleted it some time later from my main Soundcloud page. However, it still remains on my Youtube channel - if you look hard enough.

This being a page for lost content of mine, I thought it'd be fitting to put it back up here, so it's at least not lost to history.

Funnily enough, this track held the record for my longest track ever all the way up until New Year Protocol 5, three years later.

modus - This Paradise [2017, Removed]

Now this one's REALLY obscure, isn't it.

Originally released in 2018, this remix was very much inspired by tracks I'd already released prior to this point, like Purified and False Illusions - both of which are still on my main page. I believe it was a self-release, but memory's a little fuzzy there, don't take that too seriously.

I'm confident the reason why it got deleted was because LUCKYCAT either rebranded or quit, and this remix was on their profile, so they removed it. Neither the original nor this remix are in stores or on my Youtube channel (for some reason) so once it was deleted, it was pretty much lost forever.

Until now.

LUCKYCAT - Guillotine (modus Remix) [2018, Removed]

Here's an interesting one.

"Sonder", track 5 of my 2019 debut album No Limits (Rushdown) was originally conceived as part of Novatone's (fka Elevate) 2018 Producer Contest. This particular phase/prompt was about making a song using only Audacity.

This is what I did for that prompt, one year before the album. Everything here was arranged using Audacity. The only things I made in-DAW were the actual synth oneshots, since Audacity does not support synth VSTs, only effects. I created a very limited set of sounds, then did some transposing to craft the melodies, as well as some more processing to create the rest of the effects.

Some of the key differences are the much shorter breakdown compared to the final release, the slightly more quantized piano chords in the drop, and the lack of sidechain in most places, as well as the clear artifacts that come with transposing oneshot samples and the difference in mixing quality, both limitations I faced in trying to use the program.
On the other hand, the piano solo and chord samples remain the same between the two versions, since those were real recordings of my piano, and I felt like re-doing them on a virtual library kinda took away from the reason of being and soul of the song.

In light of the release of "Timeless: Over Me II (ft. Sky Roses)" on Rushdown 100, I thought it'd be appropiate to share this here, now.

I managed to find an MP3 render of a 2018 WIP called "Timeless", which was originally supposed to be a collab, but in short, it ended up not happening because the other party walked out on me without notice, leaving me at a dead end with an incomplete WIP.

This is that WIP. Interestingly, this predates even the first Over Me, which means in a way, the sequel inadvertently inspired the original, before I even knew it'd be a sequel.

The vocals, along with a couple more stems, ended up being used for the 1st drop of Over Me 2, four years later - effectively a revival of this track, rebuilt from scratch.

Despite that, everything after the intro ended up getting completely scrapped.

The ID ends after the first 16 bars of the 1st drop. I did not advance this further.
