Special thanks to all who worked on this project, this is the first project I really poured my heart and soul into... I cried my eyes out writing this song and then cried my eyes out shooting the video 9 months later; but it brought me so much healing beyond words. I hope that whoever hears this song or watches the video can find healing and peace too. Thank you to Suelen & JR; who donated their time to make this vision come to life- it means so much to have SUCH talented people who believe in me enough to take time out of their very busy day to help me with this. Thank you to Ibra-heem, who sent me four different mix and masters of this song, and kept going back and tweaking until it sounded exactly howI wanted it to sound, I so appreciate you being so receptive to me describing to you not the sound for this song, but the FEELING. Growing up as a misfit Phreckle$ learned at an early age that she would never fit in with the "norm," because of her loud personality and one-of-a-kind look, and instead learned to love her differences and rock that shit! 

Phreckle$ found her love for music at an early age, starting to play trumpet at 9 years old in the school band, and excelling at it so much that by age 12 she performed in Carnegie Hall with the best instrumentalists in her middle school. By age 13 she started going to punk rock shows and by age 17 she was playing bass in 3 different punk bands. 


Pregnant at 19, and by the time she turned 20, a single mom, coming from an abusive relationship, music sadly was left behind for a while and modeling, which brought financial reward more quickly for her and her daughter, Khali, took over. In late 2012 she was briefly dating a music artist and producer that inspired her to use a new instrument- her voice! 


First hitting the music scene under the name, "FemaLe" (pronounced "fe-ma-lay,"), Phreckle$ spent the next few years networking and promoting herself everywhere she went as an aspiring music artist, and slowly, person by person, song by song it came together
