"Sounds weird saying this but I’ve missed you guys being around man. The last mission was a close call for me, though I hate to admit that shit. Just letting you know I’m okay, on the slow road to recovery and all. I wanted to show you something. 

I have a friend called Kelly, one of my only friends growing up. He likes programming, gaming and art shit. You know, your classic nerd. Anyway, plot twist is he’s also massive fan of Shadowtask and the work we do in general. It was weird initially, since he had no idea I was a part of the team. 

For a while he would show me documents and various bits of intel. I’d just stand there and be like “Wow yeah, that’s cool man.”. Eventually I slipped up and told him about my involvement. As soon as he found out, that was it… 1 million questions every. single. fucking. day.

I've decided to keep a journal using a notepad and pen I found in a motel room this morning. I need to document and track anything that may lead me to the discovery of who I am. I will post all my journal entries here, documenting my discoveries and noting any information that may be of use in helping me find out my true identity. In time maybe whoever is reading these can help me piece this information together. Below is my first entry.

After Dark

I’ve just pulled over, I need to write this down. I keep getting these flashbacks, right now they are not making any sense. I’ve realised that driving somehow is helping my brain to recoup what little is left of the memories I have. As it stands, any information I can remember is extremely valuable and so I’ve written details of these flashbacks in the following entry. Faded Light (feat. Ezra Hyte)

I spent several days searching for the gas station I kept seeing in my head, today I found it. It looks abandoned with an ‘area closed’ sign nailed to the door. The pumps seem to be turned off, it’s clear there’s no one around. I pulled over to inspect the surrounding area, as soon as I stepped foot onto that area I knew i’d been there before. Feelings of confusion and helplessness sunk their way into my chest, this is when the visions started again. This time I saw things in much more detail as I closed my eyes and tried to focus on what my mind was trying to tell me. In that moment I remembered things, details that have shed new light on how the hell I ended up in this mess. I remembered at some point in my past standing at this gas station as I was approached from behind and hit hard on the back of my head. I fell to the ground, and with blurred vision I made out the silhouettes of four men shortly before they began attacking me. I remember blood dripping from my nose and mouth as I tried to mutter the word “stop” repeatedly, but they didn’t care, they didn’t show a single ounce of remorse. I recalled the fact that before I was hit to the ground I heard a man shout “Rico, That's the guy!”. Rico? Who the hell is Rico? Is he a criminal? A gang leader?
Soon after recalling these details I began seeing skewed images, symbols of something I have never seen before. Along side these symbols were a bunch of letters that as far as I can make out mean nothing significant yet. The letters are ‘KRQETAE’, I have drawn the symbols and have placed them in my journal. If you have time, take a look, I could be missing something.

Either way It’s time for me to head to the city in the distance. Maybe I can find out more about this Rico guy there. Whether he’s a big time criminal or a small time gang banger, chances are I won’t be the only person interested this guy.

Blurred Vision

I think I’ve just received a message, inside my helmet... 

I’m roughly three miles out from the city, up until now my helmet has continued to play up, neon lights flickering on and off along with a constant beeping sound. Like most people, I hoped hitting it would get it to stop, which actually worked. The beeping has stopped and I’ve just heard what sounds like an audio message, a distorted voice. In particular there are two words at the end of the message which i'm having trouble making any sense of due to some kind of interference. 
What’s crazy is that as soon as the message started playing, the visor in my helmet ‘turned on’ and now I have a heads up display showing me some sort of cipher. 
To those of you reading this, it’s time I asked for your help. I need to know what the two words are in the audio message as well as what this cipher translates to. If you think you’re on to something let me know, once we solve this I’ll update the journal entry. There’s a countdown timer ticking down from five minutes on my dashboard, it beeps with every second that passes. A GPS is also being displayed on my dashboard that I’ve never seen before. It’s appeared with a pre-set destination that is 3.5 miles away in the center of the city. 

My guess is I’m being led by someone to a specific area inside of the city, could it be someone that knew me from before my memory loss? Maybe it’s Rico trying to lure me in for round two? If so I’ll know what to expect, this time him and his men won’t get off so lightly. Either way, it looks I’ve got to reach the destination on this GPS before the timer expires, and with 00:02:58 left on the clock, this is a race against time. #EntryThree #ARaceAgainstTime

As we made our way around the area we stopped a few meters in front of door ‘E’, Clova asked me who I thought it belonged to. Having mentioned each member of Shadowtask already, I didn’t have a clue, looking back it should have been obvious to me. As we stood there Clova began smirking, she prompted me to enter the 8 digit pass-code into the keypad beside the door. Confused, I asked her what code she was referring to, and as her grin widened she replied with “yours”.

"I was alone on a suspension bridge that connected the main land to the city of Solai, this is the same bridge that I crossed to get into this city. I approached my bike on foot as I placed my helmet on my head, my bike was already running, with the engine ticking over in neutral. As I sat down I gave the bike a few rev's, at this point I saw myself briefly in third person with a clear view of the sun setting behind the buildings of Solai. I lifted my visor was up as I breathed in the salty air being blown over the bridge from the water that surrounded the city. Looking ahead I felt elated, and in my dream I had forgotten all about my life as it is now."

"I’m currently standing on the roadside, across the street from a house that I’m assuming used to be my home. I was hoping that on the way here I’d see things that would make me react in a similar way to when I first laid my eyes on the neon-lit silhouette of Solai, some familiarity. However, this place doesn’t feel familiar to me, at all. Regardless, this could be the first time that I get to meet someone who knew me before I lost my memory, it's a long shot but I’m hoping it’s Alice. I keep replaying the memory I have of her most nights as I struggle to sleep.
