Q. How would you describe yourself?

A. a question mark


Q. How long have you been a part of the NYC music scene?

A. long enough. i’ve been living in NY my whole life. i grew up on long island. 
my adventures in that scene going to punk and hardcore shows are another story for another time but, more recently i'd commute for nights out in brooklyn and the city every weekend, often meeting the sunrise on my return trips. 
starting around dubstep days for the programming at webster hall, eventually finding the rave & underground scenes... 
anything happening in industrial or atypical venues in Brooklyn captured my attention. 
i miss parties like lit city rave, #top8 and s!ck magic.. 
memories of going to 285 kent, the wick, steel drums and more spots without names are still pretty vivid. 

around that time i'd also been put onto bossa nova civic club by following lineups which would eventually become a very big part of my own story as i graduated from patron to dj. 
there was recently a fire which has affected the building, its tenants and the team. there's a fund active if you are able to contribute :)

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.

A. it’s super chill jungle vibes straight thru featuring tracks from 1992 to 2022.
coming from legendary labels that championed this genre such as moving shadow, good looking, limited e edition... and a newer imprint - 8205 recordings which is focused on previously unreleased 90's hardcore and jungle.
it feels like one of my more personal collages of sounds out to date as jungle along with many other forward uk genres were pretty integral to my childhood..
i’d burn cd’s and make curated mini discs for myself to enjoy as a hobby
though my interest in the history and the figures in the scene was far more passive at the time..

this mix gives great context to two recently released productions —
my remix of ‘volshebno stretched’ by anastasia kristensen which is a fusion of jungle, techno and club
and the original self-released ‘elevation’ which draws heavily from atmospheric influence (like ltj) even through its title.

i'd also like to share this review of 'elevation' with you all..
