Student Susanna Cardoso delivered a stunning performance at The Music Journey "Movie Edition" 2021. Her song of choice was "Stand Up" originally performed by Cynthia Erivo for the Movie "Harriet" released in 2019.

The Music Journey is a Celebration that happens twice a year at Radical Coaching Studios. It's an opportunity to highlight and celebrate each student's individual music journey. Some might be more advanced, others just getting started but we are all in this journey together and we can all benefit from sharing on each other's experiences.

I wrote this song to my wife after my cancer treatment. Watching my wife take care of me during a long year of treatment, made me reconsider my understanding of love and meet a new kind of love, one I had never experienced neither felt before. My treatment helped, my doctors and all professionals involved in my treatment were amazing and really made a difference in my recovery, I fought a great battle, but the main factor of my healing process was absolutely no doubt: LOVE but not just any kind of love but her love. Her unconditional love made me “Love Her More.”

2001 was a very difficult year for me. I had just moved to the United States. I was young, I did not speak English, I left my friends, my family, and everything that was comfortable to me to start a brand new chapter far away from home. When I first listened to Yellow I had no idea what the lyrics were saying but I knew what the color “Yellow” positively represented. Then you add a beautiful melody and it was enough to give me hope and to continue to dream.

Twenty-one years later, here I am, 2023, and I decided to record my cover of Coldplay’s Yellow with a vibe that translates to the feeling I had 21 years ago, a feeling of peace, calm, hope, and warmth.
