"When You Die" is a melancholic dive into the ruins of memory. On this album, Ramon Inc. explores the weight of nostalgia, longing, and regret—the ghosts of bad decisions, of loves that could have been different, of people we left behind or who left us broken. An ode to the past that, while seemingly brilliant compared to today's cold reality, is merely a comforting illusion.

Throughout the tracks, genres intertwine in an emotional and sonic narrative that ranges from ethereal synth-pop to vibrant hyperpop, passing through IDM pop, pop and alternative rock, neo-soul/jazz, and cinematic ambient. The journey begins danceably, almost hopeful, but soon delves into introspective, somber, and sensitive atmospheres—like someone looking at old photos trying to understand where everything began to fall apart.

Inspired by artists like Princess Chelsea, MGMT (more specifically, the album Little Dark Age), LA Priest, Sabrina Carpenter (current era), Jungle, TV Girl, CHVRCHES, Roosevelt, Grimes, and Loaded Honey, Ramon builds a universe where the brilliance of the past meets the weight of the present. Violins, pianos, synths, and broken beats serve as the soundtrack to an emotional, intimate, and visceral diary.

Audiovisual producer Kevin Loryan defined it: "When You Die is an incredible IDM album, but people aren't ready for it."
Maybe he's right—maybe this is one of those albums that will only be fully understood in the future.

When You Die isn't about literal death, but about everything that dies inside us over time—and what we do with what's left.

Label co-founder Kaye kick off the year with another drop of his Sam Pearl series of club-tested, dancer-approved edits. Building on the success of Vol. 1 and his highly played Bollywood edits, Vol. 2 features four cuts that have been lighting up dancefloors at Darker Than Wax parties for a minute now. ‘Gotta Keep’ and ‘Beat Goes On’ distill the indulgent sound of two disco classics into peak time weapons, while ‘Wu Tang Brought Me Here’ is a slow building injection of smooth soul.
