SINK's debut single 'What Remains' was featured on Rival Consoles' Worldwide FM radio show Oct 2nd.

I started writing this song as soon as I moved to London, just before the first outbreak in March 2020, and finished it in a few months into the lockdown. In a way, this song reflects the way I experienced isolation, specifically on two different layers of circumstances: the pandemic scenario and moving to a different country. This is probably where this song finds its wild and erotic energy, the detachment from these undeniable human urges.

‘Laid’ is about our relationship with time and the way we experience connections, goals and anxieties. Perhaps time is our most ancient enemy and social media has reshaped it for us. I'm suggesting we could stop for a while, enjoy each other’s presence, touch and closeness.

Here's a diffused ambient piece I made reimagining elements of Mozart's opera 'Così Fan Tutte' (So Do They All). I was interested in exploring material from the original piece and finding relationships between new and old. I was inspired by the idea of giving those elements from the past a new context, shifting them into modernity.

Here's a slowed down tape version I'm sharing for 'Laid' one year anniversary. I recorded and edited this instrumental version with my friend Cristiano in his Stoke Newington studio on his Sony Stereo TC-399 tape recorder using old BBC tapes. It's an immersive lo-fi ambient version of the song, I hope you will enjoy it.

I created this all piano piece through a combination of improvised takes, arranged and painted into structure. My piano is really old, noisy and out of tune at the moment, but I really wanted to record this anyway. I am sharing this with you now to celebrate piano day.

Times are tough as we're trying to piece our lives together. These frames are made in an extremely spontaneous, natural and non pretentious way. This is a healthy break from my perseverance and darkness. I hope they'll do the same or so to you.
