This one is very special to me, being the first song I've ever done my own vocals and lyrics for. Learning how to sing has been probably the biggest challenge I've taken on since the start. It's almost like a trip, or an extreme form of therapy, you have to be prepared to face down your own inhibitions/discomfort to make it actually work. Finding my voice and learning where it fits into my sound has been incredibly rewarding and I hope you'll agree.

Wind Walkers (Part I) 🎐
'Wind Walkers' is a two-part story I wrote about rivalry, comradery and companionship. This drum & bass tune was inspired by the spiritual and militaristic themes of the Mists of Pandaria Original Soundtrack - for Part I, I wanted to set the scene with a feeling of duality and the bond shared in mutual protection while under extreme pressure and adversity.
I also had the idea to use a 'guitar battle' instead of a traditional bass drop, which is what inspired the music video. 
Between the production, the lyrics, vocal recording, artwork, and music video, this all took an incredible amount of effort to put together and I want to thank everyone who helped me complete the project. (Namely ReDudeMan for the artwork, Cabs for the Clone Hero performance, Zeal for his undying patience, and of course Masha Marie for her love and support.)

The first time I heard the original song I felt like I got hit with a ton of bricks. I'm not terribly picky when it comes to lyrics, but the writing on this was the first in years to make me feel truly emotional. The words read like a letter to an anxious loved one; beautifully empathetic, reaffirming, and pure, in the most refreshing way. Not something I hear so much of these days. It got to me; to the point where almost immediately I realized I had to write my own version - not a response exactly, but more of a precursor. Alessia's song is so relatable to me because the second-person perspective described by the singer is one I've been in many times, trying to read the signs.
