This week we bring you an exciting collaboration between our longtime contributor Mino (Roddy Rich, YBN Nahmir, Tory Lanez) and English composer/producer Benji Miller (Rejje Snow, BENEE, Julia Michaels, Aries). Together they weave between each other’s worlds, their versatility as instrumentalists on display using a Bechnestein upright piano, fender Rhodes, Roland TR-66, mellotron, moog model d, Juno 106, DX7, CS-60, all run through vintage guitar amps & mics, using analog and classic methods with a modern palette of influences.

The most unique collaborations are able to push beyond the limitations of each creator into new territory, and Mino and Benji play up each other’s strengths to the benefit of you, the listener.

This week we have a debut volume from up and coming Atlanta-based producer, Geminichxld. A producer’s producer, judging by the several people who sent him our way, his approach is impossible to pin down and his execution is flawless. Using a mix of acoustic instruments, vocals, analog synths upright pianos and DIY percussion, Geminichxld pulls sounds out of hidden spaces and dark corners, processing and presenting them through his unique lens. We hope these fifteen sounds contain multitudes for others to tinker around with.
