So one of my friends said this remix sounds like "Elton John in the back of a limo driven by Big Bird"... not really the reaction I was expecting, but I'll take it. I absolutely loved "Team" the first time I heard it, and after I still loved it after the 1000th time I heard it, I knew I had to remix it. Really proud of how this came out, even though it was one of the most frustrating remixes I've ever worked on - I almost smashed my computer a dozen times, and yelled at all my friends who told me that earlier versions sucked, even though they were right. So please, enjoy - and sorry neighbors for all the noise, I swear I'm not crazy, but no I won't turn it down.

PS If we're being totally honest, I loved her performance at the Grammy's, seizures and everything.

So every now and then there's a song that turns me into a six year old, just a super embarrassing giggling puddle of happiness, and makes me want to go roll around in a park and eat popsicles and stuff. "Rather Be" is that song. Couldn't help but want to remix it, but it took me awhile to figure out how to treat a song I think is pretty much perfect. About 1000 weird noises and squawks later, really psyched with how it turned out... Enjoy!

The vocal on this is so beautiful, so ethereal, and all I can think is GLITCH IT UP. so this is my first single. i love doing remixes, but my dream has always been to make originals that stand up with all the amazing songs i love... and this song is really special to me - it's one of the first times that i'm finally close to getting out what I hear in my head, of course with the help of Lyon Hart, an amazing singer-songwriter who I think is going to be a star. when i heard the vocal demo, i was blown away and yelling and stuff and my roommates were like wtf is wrong with you and i didn't care cuz i was so excited. 

the track is is a little grittier and heavier than some of my other stuff, but i think there's a kind of beautiful energy in starting from a dark place, and thinking to yourself "fuck it, i'm literally going to be the king of everything", and using that insane idea to pull yourself into the light. did that make sense? it totally made sense in my head. in any case, i'm so thankful for all the support i've gotten and so so so excited to be putting out original music, and this is just the beginning of a ton of (hopefully) great original stuff coming soon <3

the original is probably the dopest electronic track i've heard in awhile, so i was hesitant to try remixing it at first, but it was one of the rare tracks i've worked that just fell together super naturally, barely any head banging against the wall at all. all the jack u stuff is so inspiring, and i not so secretly love the biebs, so i'm super happy with how this one turned out. tried to take for a little futurey/progressive vibe, hope you dig and ENJOY!

so this is a remix I did for the lovely Phoebe Ryan - the original is such a beautiful, uplifting thing, but it took me awhile to wrap my head around what to do with it. so i closed my eyes, took some deep breaths, lit some candles, said some voodoo chants etc etc, and boom the remix was done

but actually this was one of the smoothest, least bang my head against the keyboard remixes i've ever done. it's a bit different than a lot of my other stuff, but everything just flowed super well when i was making it and i'm really happy with how it came out, so ENJOY!! and keep an eye out, news about next original tune coming soon!

been feeling very inspired by new sounds and styles lately... i've been wanting to try some different vibes on a tune for awhile now, but have been waiting for the right track, and i think this one was perfect.
