Continuing the narrative of "Bartering Hearts", The Smile directs a battle cry towards the Devil's deceptions, denouncing the seductiveness of the Enemy's attempts to barter for his soul. Mixing emotions and evolving into a driving declaration of anger against the Devil, the song then clears up with an excerpt from a Timothy Flemmings sermon on God's love, reminding the listener that God, as both a lion and a Father, has a passion for us and, with a soft voice, reminds us that He'd do anything for us, which culminated in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, and is exemplified most clearly in the Bible verse John 3:16. Diverting from The Smile's usual style of piano anthem-esque sound, this experimental track displays a more down to earth lyrical approach to the reality of forgiveness, even divulging The Smile's own past, culminating in the truth of God's grace and, once realized, its use as an offense against the deceptions of the world.
