“I just want to make a positive impact on the world,” says Jackson, Mississippi native Touché. “The only way to do that is through a passionate means. My passion is music.” Signed to Treasure Chest Entertainment, the 25 year old emcee/producer credits his mother for his love of music. “When I was growing up, she played a lot of soul, blues, and rock. I used to get fussed at for ‘borrowing’ her cds. [Laughs] But she and my dad have always been very supportive of me doing music – from marching band to the stage.” <br><br>

Whether writing about afrocentrism or relationships, Touché has a style of soul sample production that compliments any topic the artist chooses. “As a kid, I listened to all kinds of Hip-Hop, but it was the East Coast emcees, who influenced my style the most. Listening to Nas inspired me to write. Production-wise, it was J.Dilla and Kanye’s flawless work on Common’s Be album that made me give making my own beats a shot.”<br><br>

Currently, Touché’s lyrical and production prowess can be heard on Treasure Chest Entertainment/Uncaged Music Group’s “Royalty: The Diamond Edition” album. Listeners can expect a solo project from the artist in March 2012.
