Darryl Devontai (VT) Owens was born in Norfolk, VA in 1989, into a Navy family. At the age of 3 VT moved to and was raised in Birmingham, AL. VT started writing music and singing at an early age.  As the oldest of five children, VT soon realized that music was becoming more than a hobby it was his passion.  VT started singing in school choirs and performing for friends.  After high school, VT started to focus more on his music expressing himself by writing his own lyrics.  
VT has created music with many young artists from around the state.  He has also opened for Pastor Troy and performed at multiple venues throughout the Southeast.
