Augustus Pablo played the melodica and was dub producer and was active in the 70s until 1999.  Most think of the melodica as a children's instrument, but Augustus Pablo's hands it was far from that.  It was magical.  

He worked with King Tubby quite a bit and that relationship created some of the most important examples of dub that is known.  

I do not do Augustus Pablo much justice.  He was a phenomenal musician.  Truly Magical.  He had incredible speed, touch and feeling when he played that "Toy" instrument.  Which Just Proves To Me That It Is Not The Instrument.....It Is the Person Who Breathes Life Into Those Inanimate Tools Called Instruments.
