Sunlight started out as an atmospheric piece..then I thought it would make a great dance track! Now after much work and Luke Bredin's great production skills this is the result. Let's hope for a big summer hit in 14!

Nocturne In D

I composed Harpsichorum as an outro for my wedding to Cathy which took place on the 22nd May. It was originally written for harpsichord (hence the name!)but I prefer it with a dash of piano in it which is how it is presented here. Anyway it worked well at the end of a lovely ceremony!

Ian Haywood has been an established musical entertainer since the mid 1980’s. He is an accomplished pianist who has worked in piano bars and hotels, at weddings and on cruise ships.  He has worked as half of a duo and with bands, including soul and jazz outfits.
 
Ian is largely self-taught in classical piano, following on from his early grounding with the Trinity College of Music in the early 1970’s.  Ian then turned his talents to playing by ear and later developed the art of music writing and composing.  In 1992, he obtained a publishing deal with Bourne Music in London on the strength of song material that he had written.
 
In the last few years, Ian’s love of classical music has influenced him in the development of his own brand of atmospheric music composition in the form of a piano concerto, music for piano and violin, piano and clarinet, piano and cello and many short piano pieces.  He has recently completed a 4-part jazz piece for a saxophone ensemble and is currently working on his first symphony.
 
Ian is based in Chelmsford, Essex.
