Podcast 015: Code Red Radio Exclusive Mix #5

This is a concept mix. Drum and Bass music is characterised by an up tempo rythym (Usually between 165 and 185 beats per minute. It places heavy emphasis on the drum beat and bass lines. I wanted to throw down a "Dark" mix for the most part but I like all sub genres of DnB, and I like how they sound together in the same mix. I think mixes that have all of the same types of sounds in them can get sort of lame, so I like to spice it up a little and catch people off guard. This mix is predominantly Neurofunk and Tech Step, but there are other tunes in there. Some might call one of the tunes a "Liquid" track, or others might call another track in here "Jump Up". In the end it is ALL Drum and Bass, and I hooked this set up for the shear love of the music. This describes my style so to speak. I hope you enjoy my sense of experimentation and I hope that this mix does not offend anyone. Afterall, it was only intended to broaden ones listening horizons. Year 2029. First FUNKTIONal man-machine traveled in time to 1984 to kill.. You know whom. 80's synth chord in the intro, that will take you to that time and atmosphere, folowing razor sharp, precise beats and extraordinary stabs, designed in future, opens a portal , from which the killer machine fell off.. The machine is warming its gears in quick build up before it drops into totally unrestrained, frenetic drive of pure neuroFUNKTION madness.

I have been working on those tracks after my To The Threshold Album, some of the tunes was in the process already while i did the previous album. You can expect from this release hard Drum & Bass tunes, again i have been trying to do my best on all of those tunes! And possibly best sounding as i can, as sometimes it was not easy at all to do the right sound. I added on this release also one more experimental kind of Drum & Bass, 4/4 track, would not say its a Crossbreed one, then Electro remix from my side project Pornothrasher, as i enjoy to do Electro too as many of you know. I asked MC Coppa to record for me vocals for the track that is on the EP, and need to say im really happy with the result, not the heaviest DNB track, but rolls really good and hard enough to kick your ass! The Rest is my solo i would say pure Hard Drum & Bass tracks, how i like to produce and to play! I hope you enjoy this release, again i tested it at gigs, and the tunes just went greatly, some of them some of you asked on the net already. Thank you so much, and buy the vinyl to keep them alive. release date should be end of October, 4 tunes on vinyl and 4 tunes as digital extra bonus tracks - if you buy the vinyl EP you get with it unique code where you can download the digital release of FSRECS 008 with the extra 4 digital only tracks, two weeks as usual the tunes on digital shops.
