Modular Studio Jam - ambient.

The first track from recent project "CASE2 : subversion therapy", SPRUCHNUMMER is a modular synth recording, taken from a series of improvisations captured over Christmas 2018. 2nd track taken from new modular improv project "CASE2 : subversion therapy". Its at this point that all sense of is lost in noise...not without pattern and repeat. Proximity to chaos has a grounding effect - if you let it. Enjoy.

Taken from the Orphant EP, 'Lines' is a love song, with words and EVERYTHING! A bit of a departure for me. The project was designed to pull together a number of 'orphan' tracks that had been produced for one reason or another. 45 minute improvisation with the beautiful instrument that is the SOMA Lyra8 Organismic synth.

My work with void_null has taught me the value of live improvisation and trusting in the moment...which is not always easy with electronic instrumentation. The Lyra8 is an instrument that's been designed almost specifically for this purpose, with no presets, and an almost practical inability to be able to repeat or re-tread the sounds you've just explored. 

This is the result of a 45 minute improve, one take, no edits.
