Plucking and combing through ideas, creating neverending daydreams -- is it artful, or just nonsense?
The imagination runs wild, for most of us; that of a young one runs even wilder.

A plethora of themes streak across this final tune from the first 9 songs of The Hungry Pyknic. Although many of the characters in the song are exclusive to the story (currently unfolding and being written as we speak) comprising Toxic Fever Dreams -- taking place in the mind of a young human being who doesn't quite understand the capabilities of their mental prowess or how to reign it in, whilst they are away from home -- the story concludes such themes pervading all of the songs. Until Toxic Fever Dreams, almost all of the songs' narratives remain inconclusive in their telling, but not their message. However, TFD succeeds in wrapping The Front Nine up in a blanket of surety, but only out of surfeit does this song vindicate disparate and urgent human qualities constantly in states of ebbing and flowing, degeneration and metamorphosis, ever-spinning and never really truly stopping for a moment's notice.
What should one notice? Just ask the Fishmen.

BLUES TIME

     This is my new Christmas song for the year. It has a double meaning for me and that's why I call it "The Last Christmas"! Charlie did a good job singing it and I joined him in spots! I wrote it during the hot summer this year, so go figure!!😂 I used up all the tracks I had available to record it (I'm old school, give me a break!) and I had tons of fun recording all the parts too! The song at the end during the credits is another Christmas song I wrote back in 2001 called "Have A Very Merry Christmas" with Sharri singing and Charlie and me doing background vocals. Check both out I have a video each one! This video was super fun to create, I spent a lot of time and effort on it, the sleigh ride with Santa is especially cool! I added a lot of eye-candy and special audio effect here and there. This video is for the whole family so feel free to share it with loved ones and watch it together.

Now for the secret double meaning of this song!! It's a sad tale, so prepare yourselves! Back when I was in high school, back in ancient times, there was a very pretty girl in our English class named Chrissy, she was very nice and sweet, I sat next to her and she was very smart and let us dumb guys cheat off of her papers sometimes!😂 Anyway for almost the whole year I never realized that her real name was Christmas, we all called her Chrissy. There was something very sad about Chrissy, I didn't know what it was but the next year Chrissy never returned to school? Later, I found out she had leukemia, I think? She never returned to school after that and some of the kids told me she had sadly passed away however I'm not sure about that but I never did she her again. So this song is for her and after all these years she popped back in my brain?! So let's all enjoy Christmas this year with family and friends because you never know when it will be your Last Christmas! This song started as a rough recorded by Tez on his acoustic and electric guitars. He also wrote the lyrics right off the bat, and introduced them to the rest of The Eclectic Collective by singing them as a rough, too. His vision for this was to create a song that sounded like it could've been recorded at Headly Grange. He also wanted it to feature instruments that wouldn't sound out of entirely out of place in Feudal Age Britain (between 1000-1600 C.E.) to carry the spirit of his lyrics.

  Tez always writes songs that are fun to learn and have cool changes, so the we all jumped in with both feet. Ken was first up with his Bonham like big, bad beat. To that, Josh added his P-bass, which he used a plectrum on, something he rarely does, trying to sound like JPJ to match his Ken's energy. JJ came along next, adding his colorful mix of raucous organ, time period relevant Celtic flute, and outro bagpipes. He did the entire outro, in fact, including the "off with her head," line, too. 

  Once the music was all laid down, Tez tapped Mark to sing the humorous lyrics. Mark came through with flying colors on the vocal performance, as always, too. Mark also added the textural, boingy-sounding jaw harp in the chorus sections.

  Now that it was all in the can, we asked Stephen to do the final mix and mastering, along with some of his typically brilliant production. It should be noted, though, that Mark also contributed significantly to the production, too, with his masterful editing skills.

  This was a really fun tune to put together, as we always have fun working on Tez's seeds. We hope you enjoy listening to this a much as we enjoyed creating it.

This song was originally written, specifically, to suit the Percussion / Drum skills of Karl Hielgeist ( RIP )…  We were in rehearsal with the first group I was with ( Greenfleamusic… my old pen name when I originally started playing / writing again after a 22 year layoff from music ) consisting of Me, Karl on drums, Ledge on Bass and Lumpy ( Mike Juric ) on harmonica. We were scouting venues and zeroing in on the needs of different listeners..  We needed upbeat “ Make em Drink “ songs.. Ironically, the lyrics don’t suggest that drinking is the best idea… but all the same, it did make the line form rather quickly at the bar. This song was debuted in a rather upscale venue called “ Raue Center for the Arts “..  We ended up getting the gig and did play on their beautiful stage where many world famous artists play still to this day..  I have Video archives as well

This recording was a live demo for the group “ Ruddy Nickel “… we released a cd with some tracks that represents our sound at the time..  we originally had a drummer ( Kevin L. ) we were rehearsing with, but he never made it to the studio and we parted ways soon after.. We did some gigs together the four of us.. sort of tumultuous… as bands can get..

I finally found a Studio !!!!  I will be going in just after the first of the year to record as much of my catalog as I can.. I'm getting some help from a local artist who runs a studio in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin. I will be re-recording a lot of stuff .. to MY liking.. and many new songs which will mostly take priority. It will be strictly solo with guest performers from the local scene…

Have been remastering some of my 'unloved' tracks from the past here on SC - music which has not received as many plays as I would have expected. Maybe 2nd time around your might like it.
The 2025 remastered tracks are being readied for my best of 2025 album in 2026, available January 2026.
I do not use AI on any of my work, just blood sweat and tears, and a lot of emotion/feelings. The reason I have so much music on SC is that I love making music and it is my life. Also I love to share my work with you all, please enjoy.
Have recently discovered some old tracks which I did back in 2009 but have never been previously released or worked on further. Decided to let them see the light of day, unedited and unpolished. Hope you enjoy them and can see where my humble beginnings started.
Also new for Autumn 2025, a collection of classical piano pieces which I composed back in 2010, in memory of my late father who inspired me to play the keyboard in the first place. New year, new start. Back on the search for good music and inspiration. Will be featuring a lot of my older work remastered this year, seems like a long time since I began my composing journey back in 2000.

Am back to making regular music now but sorry no Christmas songs this year. This time of year is very hard for me as it is when my father became very ill and died in the new year 2010. I still miss him very much but hope he would be proud of my musical journey, he is my number one inspiration.
Just a quick personal note on AI and music. I think it is not a good thing for the creative side of music and a lot of it comes without feelings or soul. Creativity is a gift, and should be greatly valued, cherished and nurtured. Music is what makes us human and can never be replaced by a computer.
Finished remastering up to and including 2023 now. Has been a mammoth task but well worth the effort. Next year I shall be working on a remastered series of my pre KORG days 2000 to 2008, in 8 volumes, as well as celebrating in style my 10 years of KRONOS magic, can't wait for 2025.
Have now amassed over 1000 tracks on SC (that's over 8000 minutes of music) and it has been a blast sharing them with you all. Next year 2025, marks the 10th anniversary of the start of my KORG journey.
Am currently putting together a remastered Anthology collection of all my best tracks from 2015 onwards. 2015 consists of a 3 volume set (Now available on Bandcamp). 2016 consists of a 4 volume set. I have been lucky to have music in my life, and now the time to explore how it can affect other people. I have discovered many new talented artists on SC and am happy to encourage and support their work; from small beginnings come great things. Please be inspired to be your best, inspire others too, encourage those who lack the inner courage to move forward, and together we can make music make a difference in all our lives.
Am spending a lot more time on my music now since retiring from work in July 2020. Always learning new techniques and honing my craft. Am comfortable now with all chord sequences throughout the scales and loving improvising with the help of my mighty KORG still. Am still trying to give my full support and encouragement to all SC users and some latest (you know who you are), are developing nicely. Be good to one another, be gracious to others, leave your ego out of your life and above all else remember there is always someone worse off than yourself. 
Please be kind to each other, to be happy with our lot without jealousy or greed; to give without asking the cost; to love as if there is no tomorrow; to share and inspire others who may be less fortunate than us; most of all to enjoy life for the joy of living, for we know not what the morning brings - stay safe my friends, be strong and always stay positive; remember life changes - DON'T let it change you!!
