I'm fascinated by highly textural sounds. These are some that I've created.

My friend, Matt, asked me to mix/produce his band's EP (the band is Marathon Man, and the EP is "4k" - more at marathonmanmusic.bandcamp.com ). 

After wrapping up work on the four tracks, I felt like doing a remix. 

"brb" began life as a basic electronic remix of their track "Soon", but before long it became something huge. By the time I was finished with it, I knew I had to release it as a single. And here we are.

I bought a terrible toy keyboard for a dollar. Then, I started messing with the wiring. Then, this happened.

I've been creating music with anything that makes a sound for as long as I can remember. Childhood cassette recordings and fiddling with whatever piano was nearby gave way to electric guitar and electronic music in my teens and early 20s, and eventually morphed into a shape-shifting synthetic rock sound that is all my own - but strongly influenced by the 80s sounds I've loved my entire life.

My songs are tiny ecosystems: self-sustaining, self-contained, intricate, and densely layered. I'm captivated by found sound and immaculate production. I sample my own work. I chop up my guitars and create arrangements I could never have played. I treat my voice like an instrument, pushing and pulling it in surreal or otherworldly directions. I polish each track until, sonically, it feels like it sparkles.

Music is my passion. I want to move people the way my favorite songs have moved me.
